Brian Chesky is the co-founder/CEO of Airbnb, he received his degree at Rhode Island School of Design. Brian Chesky was born on August 29, 1981, in Niskayuna, New York. He is the son of Deborah and Robert H. Chesky; His father is of Polish and Ukrainian Jewish descent and his mother is of Italian origin. Chesky's parents were both social workers. He has a younger sister, Allison. As a child, Chesky was interested in pursuing all things art, including drawing replicas of paintings, redesigning shoes, and toys, and making top-down industrial plans. Later, his interests shifted to landscape architecture and design.
When Brian was seven years old, he and his dad went on Brianâs first airplane ride from his small hometown of Albany, New York to the much bigger St. Louis. This amazed Brian was pivotal in the development of his architectural/design love. When describing the event, Brian stated: âMy dad would ask me, "Where do you want to go?" And I'd say, "Everywhere." I had to see the whole city.â.

When he was eight years old, Brian became fascinated with landscape architecture, which he admits is an âincredibly weird thing for an eight-year-old to be interested inâ. He was fascinated with the areas around homes. Backyards, decks, neighborhoods, and more, eventually learning how to layout home interiors as his interest in architecture grew.
