Sergey Brin is a computer scientist who managed to create the world’s best website, Google with Larry Page, who is also a computer scientist.
Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin was born on August 21, 1973, in Moscow, Russia. His father is a retired mathematics professor at the University of Maryland, and his mother a researcher at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
In 1979, the Brin family decided to move to the United States of America to avoid the persecution of the Jewish people.
Brin attended elementary school at Paint Branch Montessori School in Adelphi, Maryland, but he received further education at home; his father, a professor in the department of mathematics at the University of Maryland, encouraged him to learn mathematics and his family helped him retain his Russian-language skills.
Young Sergey, like his parents, turned out to be a very promising mathematician. He studied at school for talented children and even at this level showed his abilities.
He attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Maryland and graduated in 1990. In high school, Brin visited the Soviet Union under the program of exchange of experience. After he saw life in his former homeland, Sergei thanked his father that he had taken him away from Russia.
In September 1990, Brin enrolled in the University of Maryland, where he received his Bachelor of Science from the Department of Computer Science in 1993 with honors in computer science and mathematics at the age of 19. In 1993, he interned at Wolfram Research, the developers of Mathematica.
And after that, enrolled at Stanford University, where he met Larry Page. Both students were completing doctorates in computer science. There Sergey seriously interested in Internet technologies and began to develop a search engine of a completely new system.
