Education

She completed a degree in quality engineering and worked in the medical device industry.

She decided to take a year out to do a Higher Diploma in commuter science with the intention of combining it with her skills in the medical device industry. This found her back at DkIT under the supervision of Prof Fergal McCaffrey who was also the director of the Regulated Software Research Centre. With his encouragement she embarked on a PhD in 2013 and it was a chance remark at a conference which provided the lightbulb moment which not only saw her change the course of her studies but also led to the founding of Nova Leah.
