Nubank issues, administrates, processes, and transfers payments related to post-paid credit cards and equity investment in other entities. Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, NuBank is a unicorn company.
Cristina was born in the former coffee capital of Riberão Preto, and moved to Rio de Janeiro with her family as an infant.
She is the co-founder and also VP of Branding and Business Development at Nubank. She started her career in Strategic Consulting at BCG (Boston Consulting Group). Prior to Nubank, she worked for many years at Itaú Unibanco dealing with Product and Marketing for the bank’s consumer loan and credit card businesses.
She received a traditional education before moving to São Paulo to study industrial engineering at the city’s prestigious university, USP. Cristina holds an Engineering Bachelor degree and a Master degree from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), and also an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
In 2007, Junqueira was selected for the One-Year Accelerated Programme at the Kellogg School of Management in the US.
