Marc Benioff was born into a Jewish family, who lived in San Fransisco

AGE 10

AGE 13

In an interview with The New York Times, Benioff said he was "born an entrepreneur." When he was 12, he'd go door to door, helping people repair their antennas and CB radios. For a time, he cleaned the cases at a jewelry store, a job he didn't particularly enjoy. "But across the street there was a Radio Shack, and that's where I found a computer for the first time," he said. Just a few years later, at age 15, he wrote his first piece of software, and sold it.

IN HIGH SCHOOL

Marc Benioff was born in San Francisco. He graduated from Burlingame High School in 1982.

In high school, he made his first application, called how to juggle, and sold it for $75.

At age 15, Benioff created Liberty Software, which was a program in which he created games such as Flapper for the Atari 8Bit. He was steadily making $1500 a month, which he used to pay for his own university tuition.

IN COLLEGE / UNIVERSITY

Benioff attended USC.

While at USC, he had and internship with developers of the Macintosh computer at apple.

After university, he wanted to continue to pursue a developer career, but was told to get experience in the customer service field, so he took up a job at Oracle.
